Almost at the end of the peninsula of Vassilikos is the beach of Agios Nikolaos (not to be confused with the port of Agios Nikolaos which is on the other side of the island).

This beach offers an excellent range of water sports. Due to the always present soft sea breeze and its soft sand and clear waters it is the hot spot for scuba diving, jet ski, wind surfing, para sailing, snorkelling and lots more.

Behind the chapel of saint Nikolas lays a path to reach the long stretched sandy beach of Plaka, also known as Banana beach due to its outward curf.
