A good opportunity to observe the flaura and fauna of Zakynthos is to visit the Askos park in the north of the island. Native animals are roaming the area and can be touched and fed. The stone paths flow underneath the shadows of domestic trees, rocks and old stone cottages. Protected from any outside dangers the park is an enclosed biotope to see the islands nature at its best.
