Raisins
At the end of August the island is mantled with a deep sweet fragrance. The small, seedless sweet Korinthe grapes are being picked and dried in the hot summer sun. The currants are spread on close meshed nets in front of almost every farm. The grapes have to dehydrate for at least three weeks, rain is fatal for the quality of the raisin. Most of the harvest is exported to other European countries, but why wait for getting home if one can enjoy these raisins on the spot where they're from
