At walking distance from hotel Lesante, just outside of Tsilivi begins the rural part of the island. The hamlet of Marinaika is mainly agricultural orientated. Underneath the shade of old olive trees goats and sheep graze. Large vine yards border fields with tomatoes, aubergines, and water melons. Every farm has its own fruit trees, such as lemons, oranges, apricots and figs. Walking through this area is a pleasure for the all senses.
